By accessing and using the Safely platform ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

Safely is a platform that connects clients with verified security professionals for on-demand security services. Our service includes:

• Matching clients with licensed security professionals
• Facilitating secure communication and booking
• Processing payments and managing disputes
• Providing customer support and service quality assurance

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old to use our service
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• You must notify us of any unauthorized use

3.2 Invite Code Requirement

During our pilot phase, new user registration requires a valid invite code. Invite codes are provided at our discretion and may be revoked at any time.

4. Security Professional Requirements

Security professionals using our platform must:

• Hold valid security licenses in their jurisdiction
• Pass background checks and verification processes
• Maintain professional liability insurance
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Provide services in accordance with our quality standards

5. Service Area and Availability

Our service is currently available in the Greater Montreal area only. We reserve the right to modify service areas and availability at any time. Service availability is subject to security professional availability and may vary.

6. Payments and Billing

6.1 Payment Processing

• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD)
• Payment is required before service delivery
• We reserve the right to change pricing with notice

6.2 Dispute Resolution

Disputes must be opened within 48 hours of service completion. We will investigate disputes and make resolution decisions based on evidence provided by both parties.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
• Transmit any harmful or malicious code
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Share personal contact information in chat (PII blocking enforced)

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the service, to understand our practices. We comply with Quebec's Law 25 and PIPEDA requirements for data protection.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Safely shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the service.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms of Service. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Quebec, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the service. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
